A Christmas Carol

Our biggest production of 2021, cast mid-year and then plunged into lockdown, it was a Christmas miracle this musical made it to the stage.

Adapted for the stage by Eryn Wilson-Collins from the classic Charles Dickens novel with original music and lyrics by Julianne Parkinson, A Christmas Carol became a Covid success. Rehearsals were held during lockdowns and restrictions placed on performances, but the town of Dargaville was ready for live theatre and the sold out season (cut short by a change of Covid restrictions) had waiting lists of people wanting to see the show.

A Christmas Carol tells the story of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his lack of love and compassion, especially at Christmas.  Ebenezer is shown the error of his ways through the visions of three ghosts, The Ghost of Christmas Past, The Ghost of Christmas Present and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. A beautiful family story with a heartfelt message.
